Lisa Aldridge

Elias Performing Arts, formerly Lisa Aldridge Dance, was founded by Lisa Aldridge, ex-professional classical dancer and international examiner.
Having re-located from London to Highworth in 2008 with her young family, Lisa joined the staff at Liberatus School of Performing Arts in Swindon.
Due to popular demand Lisa Aldridge Dance evolved following requests from local parents to provide dance classes for children in Highworth and the surrounding area.
Lisa began her training at Elmhurst Ballet School at the age of 11 and on graduation joined The Ballet company of Innsbruck, Austria.
Having returned to the UK she quickly established herself as an exceptional young teacher and consequently was awarded the prestigious Imperial Classical Ballet’s Mavdor Award. Over the course of her career Lisa’s teaching skills have been employed by some of the most notable professional dance establishments, including Italia Conti, Laine Theatre Arts The Centre and Elmhurst Ballet School. The experience lead to her appointment as Head of Ballet at Liberatus Performing Arts School in Swindon where her work has continued with many of her past students now performing in companies across the world. In 2006 Lisa was appointed as an examiner by the ISTD for their examinations in Classical Ballet and went on to work internationally and as a Majors examiner. As a result Lisa has been invited to teach at The Imperial Ballet Awards, The Imperial Ballet Junior Awards and on many courses and summer schools. Lisa is proud to have taught at many local dance schools having trained many of their teachers.
In 2020, Lisa decided to hand over the reins of Lisa Aldridge Dance to Rae, after mentoring her for 4 years. Lisa was Rae's teacher and it is a true honour that Lisa entrusted her with the school. There will always be a part of Lisa Aldridge in Elias Performing Arts.
